GROW

In May Fronteer Gallery presents 'GROW', a postcard exhibition showcasing over 120 works of art, each responding to the theme of plants in a variety of concepts, styles and disciplines.

The exhibition began as a call-out to artists, offering the opportunity to create work about plants in any style or discipline, as long as it was 2D and postcard sized (which is 6x4 inches). The result is a diverse exhibition, drawing on themes such as the first shoots of spring, allotment life, urban weeds and botanical illustrations.

Plants play a big part in our lives and we’re delighted to be shining a spotlight on them through this range of over 120 beautiful, and indeed affordable, artworks.

This was quite an interesting read, especially the way “grow” is presented not just as something linear but more like an ongoing process that involves learning, adapting, and sometimes rethinking how things are done. It feels like the post is trying to move away from the idea that growth is always about scaling up quickly, and instead focuses more on developing in a way that actually makes sense long term. From what I understand, a lot of this ties into how organisations experiment, reflect, and adjust based on real experiences rather than sticking to fixed strategies, which is something Fronteer seems to emphasise in their approach to innovation and co-creation . I also liked how it subtly highlights that growth…
